Jock MKT review – How to sign up

If you’ve ever played DFS Nascar, CBB or any other form of fantasy sports online, you’ll probably be aware that registration and verification processes can be a pain. Often, you could be forgiven for thinking that some providers want to block access to their apps as opposed to making things easier for you.

As an expert, I can confirm that some parts of this process are necessary, such as ID uploads and verification. However, the process does not need to be anywhere near as convoluted as some DFS sites make it.

Fortunately, Jock MKT is one of the few providers that has made the process as straightforward as it possibly can be. To register a new account, you just need to follow the steps outlined in my guide below:

1. Download the app – As I’ll explain later in my Jock MKT review, there is no web-based platform for this service, so you need to download the app. You can find it in the App Store or Google Play.
2. Complete the signup form – To start the process, click on the green “Sign Up” button when you open the app. Enter your email address and create a display name and password. Once you’ve done that, click the “Create Account Button” at the bottom of the page.

Well laid out and easy to use

The highlight in this section of my Jock MKT review research was the fact that the site was extremely user-intuitive. Download links for the App Store and Google Play are immediately available on the homepage of the website.

At the top, there are dropdown buttons where you can find out the history of Jock MKT and how the contests work. Additionally, you can easily access the FAQ section where you can discover details of the registration process, welcome offers and deposits & payouts.

Of course, the only downside of the web platform here is that you cannot actually use your account and enter contests. As I have made clear throughout my Jock MKT review already, you have to download the app to get the full experience.

Background – The history of the company

In my extensive experience, you can tell a lot about any company by how transparent it is about its background and ownership. That’s why I was pleased that the “About Us” section on this site is both easy to locate and very informative.

That being said, I know better than to take everything at face value and also did some further digging of my own. In the following section of my Jock MKT review, I’ll detail everything that I’ve found – and it is, for the most part, very positive, I’m pleased to say.

Jock MKT is owned and operated by a company of the same name and was created by a group of sports fans and investors. As self-proclaimed nerds, they combined their financial expertise and their love of sports to create this unique product that effectively provides a stock market for fantasy sports trading.

Reputation – Heralded by experts and DFS players

While it has yet to win any official high-profile awards, this app has been highly praised by fantasy sports experts. The Sports Business Journal described it as the “Wall Street of fantasy sports”, in their glowing Jock MKT review.

Expert opinions are, of course important, however, I tend to give more credence to what the everyday user thinks of the platform. I didn’t have to dig very deep in terms of research to discover that this platform is very popular.

In the App Store, it has a 4.2 star rating, which is more or less mirrored on Google Play. This is an impressive user rating for any app, but it is more impressive for a service that provides paid DFS contests.

Generally, you will find that those who have lost are more likely to leave reviews on DFS and sports betting apps. Therefore, any half-way positive review for an app or platform like this is already pretty damn impressive if you ask me.

Player experience – Live player trading made easy

I must admit that I was sceptical about how the player experience would be for the everyday DFS fan here. As an industry expert, I was excited by the prospect of a stock trading-style fantasy sports platform but was unsure about how it would translate into a user-friendly experience in reality.

Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised about the user experience when I tested the app for my Jock MKT review. The overall experience is very different from what you will find on the FanDuel fantasy sports app.

The contests do provide some continuity, as you can still enter tournament-style contests and Pick Ems. However, it is the trading market that makes the experience unique. You can trade players with other entrants with the value being updated live based on their stats and performance overall.

These days, most of us do everything on our cell phones anyway, so I don’t really see the mobile exclusive here as too much of a setback. The app can be downloaded within seconds via the App Store and Google Play and takes up 41.5 MB of memory space. This is quite heavy compared to the average app size but is actually quite light for a fantasy sports app.

Entering contests, accessing your account info and browsing the live player market is easy. The app layout is almost simpler than the website and is designed for touchscreen play and thumb scrolling.

As I said with the website, one of the main attributes of the Jock MKT app is the intuitive design that makes it easy to access and navigate for players of all experience levels. If you are a new user, there are pop-up snippets of information to guide you through each step.

At the end of the day, the thing that we all want to do is get our winnings as quickly as we possibly can. The slight downside to this section of my Jock MKT review is that the withdrawal process isn’t the quickest.

However, it is secure and you can make instant deposits with no hidden fees. As things stand, you can only deposit using Visa or Mastercard credit cards, but I am reliably informed that PayPal deposits are on their way.

You can withdraw your winnings to the same bank account that you used to make your last deposit. In most cases, it should take five to seven business days for you to receive your funds.

Unfortunately, there are many scam fantasy sports platforms out there, but fortunately, this isn’t one of them. In reacherching for this Jock MKT review, I found that the company is legally registered and allowed to offer DFS free and paid contests in the US.

That being said, the exact nature of the services available differs in certain states, while the app is prohibited in a handful of locations. When it comes to matters of security, your transactions are encrypted and your data and funds are very well protected.

Prohibited countries – A US-only platform

Like most DFS platforms for major league sports, Jock MKT is currently only available in the US. As you would likely expect, there are some prohibited states as well as locations with service restrictions.

Most states, including New York Florida and California, have access to Pick Em contests and the fantasy sports markets. On the other hand, there are many locations, such as Maine and Vermont, where you can only access markets. Meanwhile, there are a few locations, including Utah and Washington where only free contests are accessible.

Every fantasy sports platform on the planet has a welcome offer available, but very few properly reward their existing customers and loyal players. In my Jock MKT review research, I sadly couldn’t find a traditional loyalty or rewards program for you.

However, I did find a handy little feature called “Featured Orders”.? This means that on the market and in contests, the best prices and most attractive offers will be clearly highlighted so that you can find the best possible value.

I often find that traditional loyalty programs are often very elitist and inaccessible for 99% of players. Therefore, I actually quite like this approach, where all players can benefit from the best prices and offers.
