Top 5 FIFA 21 Teams: The Ultimate Winners in FIFA21

It’s no secret that some teams are better than others in FIFA, that’s the nature of the game and it reflects the fact that in real life there are skilled teams and there are less skilled teams. However, these 5 specific teams are almost unnaturally powerful and have cemented themselves as the go-to options for competitive FIFA 21 matches online. To that end, here is our list of FIFA 21’s 5 most broken teams to play with:

5. Real Madrid

Real Madrid is easily one of FIFA 21’s most complete teams and there is an argument to be made that it should be higher on this list. However, because the other teams featured are so incredibly hard to play against, Real has to take up the number 5 spot. There are many reasons why Madrid’s FIFA 21 team is so broken. To start, the defense is one of the highest-rated in the game. This is, in large part, a result of Ramos’ presence in the CB role. Simply put, Ramos is impossible to dribble past, he makes every tackle with precise timing and his blocks are infuriatingly consistent. And even if, by some miracle, you get through the defense well, then you still have to put the ball past the incredible 89-rated wall that is Thibaut Courtois. This rock-solid defense is only complemented by a staggering midfield, including the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric—88 and 87 rated respectively—and an electric attack bolstered by the talents of Eden Hazard—88—and Karim Benzema—89. If the defense is of high importance to your FIFA play-style, then you can do no wrong with Real Madrid.

4. France

Who would’ve thought the current World Champions would have such a good FIFA team, right? Well, yeah, they do. And as some of you would remember from FIFA 20, France was the best team in the game by a country mile and always the designated go-to for any competitive matches. This time around, however, things are a bit different in that it’s more of a reasonably balanced team. That being said, it’s obviously still one of the best in the game for many reasons. On one hand, the CB pairing between Madrid star Raphael Varane and Barcelona starter Lenglet makes for a very reliable and dogged defense. Hugo Lloris comes as the final piece of this defensive puzzle, and what a piece he is, with his 89-rated diving and 90-rated reflexes. The midfield is no joke either; Kante and Pogba brilliantly occupy CM roles, while Antoine Griezmann provides attacking swagger and fluidity as a number 10. Last but certainly not least, the attack is possibly the best thing this team has to offer, featuring players such as Ben Yedder, Coman, Martial and even FIFA 21’s very own cover star: Kylian Mbappé. With pace playing such an important role in FIFA 21, it’s easy to understand why this attack is so lethal.

3. PSG

This is a team full of all-star talents and an obvious first pick for any competitive online FIFA match. As far as the defense is concerned there’s nothing too impressive about it except for maybe Keylor Navas and Marquinhos. Gueye and Veratti are PSG’s two midfielders, and to be fair, they’re both very competent and quality players with the latter possessing phenomenal dribbling ability and passing range. But overall, PSG’s team is really about its world-class attack. This is one of, if not, the finest attack in all of world football, consisting of pace, power, creativity and flair. Choose PSG and you will have Neymar’s flair and technique, Mbappe’s deadly pace, Icardi’s icy-cool finishing and Di Maria’s pinpoint deliveries, all at your fingertips.

2. Bayern

It only makes sense that the Champions of Europe be featured on this list based on the raw talent and caliber of players they have in their squad. In fact, Bayern is almost exactly as we saw them in Europe last season when they enjoyed all that success. The team features the same defense that proved so impenetrable over the course of the 19/20 season. On the back of their breakthrough seasons, Alphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry get rewarded with dramatic improvements in their overall stats. Additionally, Bayern’s midfield also observed some notable stat boosts with Kimmich going from an 86 to an 87 and Goretzka going from an 84 to an 86. Upfront, Bayern has the destructive pace of Sane and Gnabry on the wings and the elite composure of Europe’s most successful goalscorer in the 19/20 season: Robert Lewandowski. This is what makes Bayern such a broken team and such a difficult one to play against.

1. Liverpool

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the most broken team in all of FIFA is none other than Liverpool. And there're countless reasons why this team is borderline unfair. Let’s just start with the most outrageous first, Van Djik. Van Djik in FIFA 21 is just untouchable he is the absolute pinnacle of defending. Nothing even comes close. And listen, we all know how incredible a player Van Djik is in real life, but even the greats make mistakes. Well, that does not seem to be the case for his digital counterpart because no matter what you throw at this guy he will find a way to make a tackle, an insane block or an off-the-line clearance to stop you from scoring. It’s almost become a meme about how broken Van Djik is in FIFA 21. And again this is one of those cases where even if you find a way past the defense, you’re met with an equally broken goalkeeper. Alisson can pretty much save 90% of all the long-distance efforts and 1 on 1’s you test him with. This makes Liverpool the hardest team to score against in FIFA 21. Which would be fair if it wasn’t for the fact that they also have one of the best attacks in the game. The star-studded front 3 that are always dominating the media are just as unstoppable in the game as they are in real life—with the exception of Firmino, who is definitely overrated in FIFA. Mane and Salah’s pace and finishing ability make it effortless to score goals playing with Liverpool. This combination between invulnerable defense and unrelenting attack is exactly what makes Liverpool the most broken team in FIFA 21.
